Libby girl is first graduate of Christian school high school program

Kootenai Valley Christian School is graduating its first high school graduate on Oct. 29, and the public is invited to attend.
Kristina Noble’s graduation ceremony begins 2 p.m. in the school gym at 1024 Montana Ave. in Libby.
School Administrator Ruthanne Dolezal said Noble is the first student to complete high school courses through the school’s Ignitia program, established in the fall of 2016.
“The Ignitia program is a strategic hybrid of teacher instruction, social learning and online lesson work, and provides high quality education for KVCS students in the seventh through twelfth grade,” she said by email. “KVCS has also enrolled international satellite students who have studied with our teachers and earned U.S. high school credits. The Ignitia curriculum provides the option of study in 20 languages.”
Prior to establishing the Ignitia program, the school had been offering classes for preschool through eighth grade students, Dolezal wrote.
Noble, who soon will turn 18, said it’s “kind of exciting and a little scary” to be the school’s first high school graduate.
She said she’d like to move to Butte and attend cosmetology school.
“I’m just looking forward to getting out on my own and figuring my life out,” she said.
At KVCS, Noble played in Chapel Band and was a teacher’s aide for Spanish, Dolezal wrote.
