Guyla Patrick

Guyla Patrick, 90 years young, passed away on Nov. 7, 2018 at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby surrounded by family. She was born in New Virginia, Iowa on Aug. 9, 1928, to Delbert and Helen Harsh. Guyla and her husband Phil Patrick lived in Osceola, Iowa, Denver, Colorado, Milford, Massachusetts and Beaverton, Oregon. They raised three children: Terry, Dee Ann and Phillip.

“GG,” as she was known by her grandchildren, loved to be surrounded by family, reading Debbie Macomber, baking when younger and better at it, partying with friends and spending time with her loving caregivers Carolyn and Diane.

She is preceded in death by her husband Phil Patrick, Sr. and son Phillip Patrick, Jr.

Guyla’s surviving family includes her brother Jim Harsh and wife Betty; a sister Margaret; son, Terry and wife Denice Purdy-Patrick; daughter Dee Ann Boswell; grandchildren Josh Patrick and wife Nadia, Andy Reichow, Jamie Caruso and husband Jared, Tyler Patrick and wife Megan, Callie Blaz and husband Teagen, Bobby Boswell and Kara Patrick; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. at the Libby United Methodist Church on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018. Services will take place in Osceola, Iowa in the spring. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby.
