Adale Naine Chew

Adale Naine Chew, 47, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Brendan House in Kalispell. She went home to the Lord after a brave battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 5, 1971, in Libby to Raymond and Lona Chew. Adale attended Libby schools and graduated in 1990. She found she had a passion for nursing and attended Flathead Valley Community College and received a medical associates degree.

She then started her career at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital/Cabinet Peaks Medical Center and worked there for 11 years. In August 2015 she moved to Polson, where she attended the Salish Kootenai College to further her love for nursing.

Adale loved her kids and family more than anything. Her favorite things were the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. She was preceded in death by twin sister Danenan, grandparents Dorothy and Maurice Jacobson, Dale and Thelma Walker and Hazel Chew.

Survivors include granddaughter Claira Erickson; daughters Maurica Risteau (Jerry Erickson), Bailey Shaw and Aspen Chew; son Mason Risteau; mother Dianne Walker; father Ray (Laurie Chew); sisters Christy (Tim) Anderson and Cathy (Robin) Jenks; step-sisters Brandy Freeman and Jenny Freeman; step-brother Chris Freeman; and numerous nieces, nephews and a great niece.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 17, 2018, at the Libby Christian Church. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby.
