PUBLIC NOTICE: Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway proposes to install a 150-ft-tall communications tower at (listed by "tower name: latitude, longitude) Stryker: 48.664572, -114.769356, which will be licensed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). As part of its responsibilities assigned by FCC for compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), BNSF invites the public to notify BNSF of any effects the placement of this tower may have on properties listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, or any concerns the public may have with regard to the potential impact the tower may have on natural and cultural resources subject to NEPA or NHPA review and consideration. NOTICE OF SALE Department of Natural Resources & Conservation Timber Sale The Glen Mud Barnaby Timber Sale is located within Sections 16 and 36, T36N-R26W and Section 16, T35N-R26W, on the State's Stillwater Unit. Approximately 17,362 tons, consisting primarily of Douglas-fir sawlogs, are offered for sale. Sealed bids will be opened at the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, 2705 Spurgin Road, Missoula, Montana on November 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed and will be accepted any time prior to the bid opening. DNRC recommends that bidders contact the Trust Land Management Division (406-542-4300) prior to the bid opening to ensure that your bid has been received. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit of $24,515.00, representing 5% of the minimum bid value of the sale in cashier's check, certified check, bank money order or bank draft to be applied to the first sale invoice for the successful bidder. Bid bonds will be accepted and, for the successful bidder, will be closed upon execution of the Timber Sale Contract and Timber Sale Bond. The sale will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder. If the successful bidder is unable to execute the contract within 30 calendar days from the date the sale is awarded, the bid deposit will be retained by the Department as liquidated damages. NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER SALE CORRECTED ADVERTISEMENT NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE, KOOTENAI NATIONAL FOREST. The DAVIS DECKS 1 Salvage timber sale includes an estimated 6,269 TONS AF & Other of Sawlog timber (equivalent to 2,307 CCF) designated for removal located within portions of Section 13 and 23, T37N, R33W; PMM, Lincoln County, State of Montana. This is a DECK SALE and all rates will be paid for at a rate per TON. Sealed bids will be opened in public at the Forest Supervisor's Office, Libby, MT at 09:00 am., local time, on November 13, 2018. NOTICE OF 2018 REAL PROPERTY AND MOBILE HOME TAXES DUE All 2018 real property tax bills in Lincoln County have been mailed. Please check your bills over carefully. When making payments please remit your stubs; for inquiries please provide your tax payer number from your statement. The first half of the 2018 real property taxes levied and assessed will be due and payable before 5:00 p.m. on November 30, 2018. Former Mine Area Weather Station to Close for Winter The Remote Automated Weather Station (RAWS) located at the top of Vermiculite mountain approximately 6 miles northwest of Libby, MT, will shut down for the winter months, from mid-November to late March, access permitting.
