Betty Alice Erhard Cooper

| May 29, 2018 4:00 AM

Betty Alice Erhard Cooper, 96, died on May 22, 2018. She was born in Pleasant Valley on Sept. 14, 1921, the second oldest of 10 children, and is survived by one brother, five children, plus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband Dennis Cooper traveled through the United States and Canada with their travelogues and she leaves behind family and friends in both countries.

Betty had a great curiosity and zest for life accompanied by a strong faith. She took great joy from her family and made no distinctions between those by birth and those by marriage. Her grace and humanity were paired with a sense of humor and love of adventure. She was a published author and accomplished story-teller, and her tales of hunting and camping will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held July 5.
