Fred Oscar Bache

Fred Oscar Bache, 88, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby. He was born on May 10, 1930 in Plains to Esbon and Ethel (Nixon) Bache. He married Norma Little on Aug. 27, 1950 and she preceded him in death on June 23, 1989. He married Grace Martin on July 22, 1990 in Libby.

Fred worked as a logger, ran a feed store and raised Arabian horses. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Libby. Fred’s greatest accomplishments are the numerous children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he helped raise.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Grames; two brothers, Cecil Bache and Bobbie Bache; a grandson, Damion Bache; a stepdaughter, Teresa McDowell; and a stepson, Jeff Green.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Bache, of Libby; children Russ Bache (Rhonda), Cora Lee Bache, Kenneth Bache and JoAnn Azure (Robert), all of Libby, as well as Lorina Massey (Robert) of Polson, Tina Turner (Lucas) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Charly Green (Jennifer) of Eastman, Georgia; siblings Lloyd Bache, Frank Bache, John Bache and Kenny Bache; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Assembly of God Church in Libby. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
