Women's Golf League

The Women’s Golf League at Cabinet View Golf Course met May 2 and 9.

On May 2, seven lady golfers played “Criers Tourney.” The worst hole was deducted from each player’s net score.

For Group A, Bobbie Bamford had an adjusted net score of 29 and for Group B, Donna Havens had an adjusted net score of 27. In Group A regular golfing, Bobbi Bamford had a low gross and Pat Neils had a low net. In Group B, Donna Havens had a low gross and Phyll Mackey and Anna Guthrie tied for low net.

On May 9, the game was “Mutt and Jeff,” which uses the total net score of the par 3s and par 5s.

In Group A, Nancy Hull and Bobbie Bamford tied, and low score for Group B was Anna Guthrie. Low gross for the day was Nancy Hull with a 44, and the Group B low gross was Anna Guthrie with a 50. Low net for Group A was Bobbie Bamford with a 35, and for Group B was Phyll with a 35.

The League gathers Wednesdays at 9 a.m. for coffee and snacks, starting play at 10 a.m.

The League will start evening ladies golf on Wednesday, June 6 at 6 p.m., and plan to meet every following Wednesday except July 4.

A $2 fee per week will go toward prizes. Green fees will be $15 for walkers and $25 for those who wish to ride.
