James H. White

James H. White, 87, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at his home in Libby of natural causes. He was born Nov. 11, 1930 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Gerald and Marion White.

James graduated from the University of Montana and received a bachelor of science degree in forestry. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service and served in the U.S. Air Force until 1968, when he left the Air Force to pursue private sector opportunities. He was a decorated Vietnam War veteran.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce C. White, in 1993, and his second wife, Fran White, in 2012; a daughter, Beverly Ann White; and a brother, Arthur White.

Survivors include his sons Timothy J. White of Spokane, Washington, and Kenneth A. White of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a brother, Ronald White; and grandchildren Kelsey A. White, Amanda J. White, Jeff White, Scott White, Cori White, Rudy Whitehead and Alex Whitehead.
