Watch for electric co-op tree-trimmers in Libby

Keep an eye out for Flathead Electric Cooperative work crews that will soon trim and, if necessary, remove trees growing too close to power lines within Co-op right-of-ways in the Libby area.

Trees growing near and into power lines can create public safety hazards, start fires and cause power outages. The tree-trimming program can prevent dangerous situations and maintain electric reliability.

The trimming will be done by professionals trained on safe, proper and environmentally responsible practices.
