The 26th Annual Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation’s “Playing for Fundsies” Golf Tournament is Saturday, July 21 at Cabinet View Golf Club.

“This year we are bringing back some old favorites and adding some new exciting twists for another round of hilarious golf, all for a good cause,” Kate Stephens, the Foundation’s executive director, states in a news release.

Each hole has its own prize, Stephens notes — some for traditional golf contests, such as closest to the pin and the longest putt, others that are less so “but sure to be tons of fun.”

There will also be prizes for both the first place and the last place teams.

Event proceeds will benefit the Foundation’s campaign to purchase a 3D mammography machine, which creates a three-dimensional picture of the breast using x-rays, allowing physicians to see the breast in greater detail.

Registration costs $60 per golfer and includes breakfast, lunch, and 18 holes of golf. Winners will be announced at the clubhouse at the end of play.
