The Yaak Sasquatch Festival, which kicked off Thursday night with a showing of Harry and the Hendersons, continues Friday and Saturday with live music, chainsaw carving and vendors and contests with a big foot theme.

On Friday night, the Yaak River Tavern and Mercantile will host live music from Ben Chappelow and Kenny Westbrook at 7 p.m. with no cover.

On Saturday, festivities continue with 30 vendors selling an eclectic blend of items from the useful to the artistic, including items following the sasquatch theme.

There will also be a 6.2 kilometer Bigfoot Race run on Pipe Creek Road.

Additional competitions on Saturday will include chainsaw carving in keeping with the day’s theme, as well as a Miss Sasquatch competition.

The Dirty Shame Saloon will play host to harriest leg — with a men’s and a women’s categories — and harriest back competitions, while the Mercantile will host the sasquatch screeching and best beard competitions.

On Saturday night, the Dirty Shame will host live music by Dangerous Type.
