The Montana Department of Transportation seeks public comment on safety improvement projects it is proposing, including one project in Lincoln County.

The department is proposing that it replace the guardrail and add curve warning signs and standard delineation from RP 0.0 to RP 0.1 to Parmenter Creek Road in Libby.

The purpose of the project — tentatively scheduled to happen in 2019 — is to address run-off-the-road crashes, a news release states. It will not require new right-of-way or utility relocations.

For more information, call Missoula District Administrator Ed Toavs at 406-523-5802 or Project Design Engineer Scott Gerken at 406-444 5446.

Written comments can be submitted to the Montana Department of Transportation Missoula office by mail at P.O. Box 7039, Missoula, MT 59807-7039, or online at mdt.mt.gov/mdt/comment_form.shtml.

Note that comments are for project UPN 9419000.
