Early childhood fair in Libby Saturday
Libby Families in Partnership will host their 12th annual early childhood fair on Saturday at the Fred Brown Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is geared toward providing fun, free activities for children and families, while also educating the community about services available.
Each participating community partner will be providing something free and fun for children attending.
Participants this year include Cabinet Peaks Medical Center, the Pregnancy Care Center, Lincoln County Public Health and the Center for Asbestos Related Diseases.
From Kalispell, the Nurturing Center and Child Development Center will have booths.
The Libby Volunteer Fire Department will also be present, and Sparky the Fire Dog is expected to make an appearance. The U.S. Corps of Engineers, Montana Highway Patrol and Dave Thompson Search and Rescue will also be there to educate and interact with the public.
Karina Hancock will host Music and Movement, with interactive dance opportunities for children, and Curves gym will have a table.
Some items that will be available include ID kits that parents or guardians can use to maintain a record of information for their child, and coloring books.
The Family Resource Center will also have a booth set up for inspecting car seats.
