Melissa A. Olsen

Melissa A. Olsen, 53, went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 8, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Melissa was born on June 8, 1965, in Libby to Eldon and Penny Fleming.

Melissa loved the outdoors. She always had a camera in her hand taking pictures to capture the natural beauty she loved. She left Montana and moved to Missouri, where she touched the lives of many. Her heart belonged in Montana, however, so she found her way back home.

She married the love of her life, Mark Olsen, on June 13, 2014. Together they made their home in Columbia Falls with their two dogs Carter and Cash.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, brother Luke, and her furbaby Tucker.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Olsen; daughters, Jenn (Jesse) of Lewiston, Idaho, Angie of Kalispell, and Katie (Travis) of Helena; sisters, Jeannie (David) Nadolny of Libby, and Betsy (Jon) Paterson of Kalispell; brother, Ed (Melinda) Fleming of Seattle; sister friend, Missy Ayers “Sassie” of Cameron, Missouri; stepmother, Bev Fleming, of Kalispell; numerous nieces and nephews; and stepchildren, Tara Adsit, Scott Wilkins and Tamara Schoenthaler. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled privately by her family.
