Kootenai Pets for Life is holding a rummage sale to raise money so one of its dogs can undergo surgery in preparation for adoption.

Rolly, a black lab mix, needs the surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament in one of his hind legs, a news release states.

The rummage sale will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, and Saturday, Aug. 4 at the shelter at 125 County Shop Rd. in Libby. Donated items for sale can be dropped off at the shelter the morning of Aug. 3.

One of many pets available for adoption, Rolly is described as “a happy boy” that “is sometimes too exuberant for other dogs and needs to be an only dog — but if you sit on his bed with him, he will climb up, roll on his back and put his head in your lap so you can scratch his tummy.”

He is neutered and current with his vaccinations.

Kootenai Pets for Life is a no-kill, nonprofit, all volunteer organization providing shelter, spaying and neutering, foster care, veterinary assistance and education.
