Calvin Lloyd Davis

| January 30, 2018 3:00 AM

Calvin Lloyd Davis, 66, passed away at his home on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 with loved ones by his side. He was born on May 21, 1951 in Missoula to Donald and Eleanor Snyder Davis. He spent his childhood in Missoula learning to hunt and fish, which he loved to do throughout his life.

In 1969, Calvin moved to Libby, where he attended high school until he obtained employment working as a laborer on Libby Dam.

Calvin started working at the Lincoln County Landfill in 1975 and worked his way up to management until he retired in 2005.

Calvin was married twice: first to Sherry Palmerton in 1974 and they had daughter, Kelly, in 1976; then in 1981, to Ruth Diane DeGeorge, and they had two children — son Garrett in 1983 and daughter Richele in 1984.

In 2006, Calvin met Gina Huffman, his partner for the remaining years of his life. Calvin and Gina spent time sharing and working on a home in Libby, and enjoyed entertaining friends and family in their spare time.

Calvin is preceded in death by his father Donald Davis and stepfather William Birnie. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Birnie; his partner, Gina; her daughters, Brianna and Kyndal; his sister, Lynn Francis; his three children, Kelly, Garrett and Richele; and his grandsons Braden and Kolby.

Services for Calvin will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
