Shirley and Leonard Koskela

Leonard and Shirley Koskela are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Dec. 6, 1957 at the Ft. Sill Chapel in Oklahoma.

Leonard was an M.P. and Shirley was a lab technician at the Ft. Sill Army Hospital; Leonard worked there for 34 years while Shirley worked there for two. Leonard worked in the logging industry until retiring in 1991. Shirley was a stay-at-home mom until 1988 when she worked as an aide at Libby Schools. They retired at their McGregor Lake place but later moved to Columbia Falls. In 2015 they returned to Libby.

Their children are: Lynn Koskela (Steve) of Olympia, Washington; Betty (Jay) Reiss of Spokane, Washington; Mike Koskela (deceased); and Jeff (Lisa) Koskela. They have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Their celebration will be held in April when more family can attend.
