| January 9, 2018 3:00 AM

Patricia Jean (Blue) Yost, 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband, son and daughter-in-law on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at her home in Libby. She was born on Nov. 14, 1951 to Robert and Gloria Blue in Vancouver, Washington.

Patty married Donald Yost on Nov. 24, 1972 in Reno, Nevada. They had just celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on Thanksgiving Day.

Patty was an amazing and loving wife and mother. She built a tight knit family that is caring, generous, instilled with integrity and great work ethics. She was a devoted grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She always stayed in touch with her loved ones, no matter how far away they lived. She loved using her iPad to keep up on family news; chat and share pictures and videos; and to play games.

Patty was a strong willed woman who always said what was on her mind, always spoke the truth, and stood firm to her thoughts and beliefs. She didn’t let anyone walk all over her. She was dearly loved by all the people in her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She left too soon but did leave her family with so many great memories to cherish.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Jeff Bisson; her sister Carol Smith; and her daughter Kim Yost, who died on April 20, 2011.

Survivors include her husband Donald Yost and a son Adam (Tina) Yost, all of Libby; siblings Janice (Ed) Simmons and Donna (Monte) Hughes; grandchildren Austin Yost, Aryal Kempter Thompson (Nathan), Shianna Kempter and Dakota Kempter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private family services are being held. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
