June Elaine McKay

June Elaine McKay passed away Jan. 30, 2018 in Spokane, Washington. Born in Big Timber on July 15, 1935, June was the youngest child of Peter and Jennie Peterson. She spent her childhood in and around Big Timber, and attended Sweetgrass County High school.

In 1951 she married the love of her life Jimmie Patrick McKay (Pat), and began raising a family, ending up with five wonderful children.

In 1964 they moved to Libby with the hopes of making a better life in an area affording more and higher paying job opportunities. While in Libby, she made many life long friendships and truly enjoyed living there.

In 2002 June and Pat moved to Spokane to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Jennie Peterson; husband Pat; brothers Andy and Allen Peterson; son Aaron McKay; and grandchild Tori Bush-Durham.

She is survived by her children Jimmie (Lindsay) McKay, Barbara (Shan) Bush, Trish (Mitch) Bush and Debby (Doug) Davis; grandchildren Clinton (Anna) Bush, Adam (Kimberly) McKay, Bree (Jeff) Sides, Teya (Ryan) Porter, Rena (Jake) Lehn, Richie Johnson, Chris Johnson, Brandon Bush, Brady (April) Bush, Donovan (Tara) Kargenian and Amber (Chris) Allen; plus numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral, but a memorial may be planned at a later date.
