Cecil Foote

Cecil Foote, 91, of Troy died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at Brendan House in Kalispell. He was born April 17, 1926 in Mansfield, Arkansas to Leslie and Addie (Nidlett) Foote.

Cecil moved to Montana at the age of 15. He started falling timber with a crosscut saw with his brother. He married Maxine Helton in 1946 at Whidbey Island, Washington and they made their home in Lincoln County in Montana. Cecil retired from St. Regis Lumber Co. in 1982. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Foote. Survivors include his wife Maxine Foote of Troy; children Butch Foote (Julie) of Libby, Ron Foote (Arvey) of Grants Pass, Oregon, Ken Foote of Napavine, Washington, and Marcia Foote of Big Fork; brother Johnny Foote of Liberty Lake, Washington; sister Betty Cunningham; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Troy Community Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
