Gala is glowing success
The annual Festival of Trees Fundraising Gala for the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation raised around $60,000 this year, based on early estimates.
Kate Stephens, the foundation’s executive director, said that the amount is comparable with what the gala has raised in the past few year.
With music from Jacque Jolene along with Chance Long and the Last Chance Band, the festival treated guests to softly-lit Christmas decorations, food and drink.
And for those who wanted something for the road, one raffle item included a literal “wagon of wine.”
The gala featured various donated items for raffle or auction donated both by local businesses and by individuals to raise money for the foundation.
