Veronica Agen

John 11:25-26: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”

Veronica Josephine Scheller Agen, 91, passed away in her sleep with her family by her side on Aug. 17, 2018. She was born March 8, 1927. She married John Roderick “JR” Agen in 1956; they had two sons Jack and Mark. JR passed away in 1983. Veronica married Ted Gardner in 2002; a year later, they moved to Libby.

Veronica was very strong in her faith, witty, and enjoyed working in her clothing shop, doing crafts, and being with her family. Veronica and Ted enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting together. She especially enjoyed camping at the Blackwell Flats and Glacier National Park.

She is survived by her husband, Ted Gardner; sons Jack (Kathi) Agen and Mark (Carol) Agen; brother-in-law Jerry Agen; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Libby Assembly of God Church at 105 Collins Ave.
