Ryan Edward Nixon

Ryan Edward Nixon, age 31, beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away on Aug. 5, 2018.

Ryan was born in Denton, Texas, to Randy and Lynn Nixon on Aug. 14, 1986, and moved back to Libby with his parents at age two months. Ryan attended Libby schools and his chosen profession was that of an excellent cook, a skill he learned from his mother Lynn.

At the time of his passing, Ryan lived and worked in Kalispell.

Ryan was easy going and happy and was known for his caring and compassion. He was loved by many and had many friends.

Survivors include his mother Lynn Nixon and father Randy Nixon and stepmother Amy of Libby; grandparents Ed and Polly Nixon of Libby; sister Amber Pederson and husband John of New Mexico; brother Daiven Reuss of Montana; brother Jeremiah Irwin and Jeannie of Virginia; brother Justin Irwin of Pennsylvania; sister Kelsi McIntyre of Montana; brother James Skinner of Missouri; nephews Jairdan Pederson, “Big W” Wyatt Pederson and Jayce Chandler; nieces Sophia Pederson and Zayna Makowiecki; Uncle Kip Nixon and Aunt Michele of Libby; Aunt Tammy Ivins of Oregon; Aunt Deanna Benton and Uncle Kevin of Idaho; Aunt Leah Taylor and Uncle Scott of Montana; Uncle John Pruisman of Washington; and numerous cousins and other relatives, as well as many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Hoyt, and grandfathers Jerry Pruisman and Edward Hoyt.

Viewing will be held at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home, 422 West 2nd Street in Libby, on Wednesday, Aug. 15, with private viewing from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and public viewing from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at the Assembly of God Church in Libby, 105 Collins Ave., at 10:30 a.m.

Directly following the service at the church, all are invited to a time of remembrance of Ryan at the American Legion, 319 California Ave., Libby.

Ryan, you will always be our superman.
