Troy athletes take first place in events

The Troy High School Track and Field team competed Thursday and Saturday in invitationals at Thompson Falls and Seely Swan high schools. Junior Hunter Leighty and sophomore Ella Pierce led in placement at Thompson Falls, with Leighty taking first in the varsity 100m and 200m dashes and Pierce taking first in the JV 200m dash and varsity 100m hurdles. Junior Michael Beers also placed first in the 110m hurdles.
Though Troy faced tough competition in Missoula at Seely Swan, the team still came away with multiple placements and several personal records.
