The Kootenai Heritage Council kicks off its 14th season 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Libby Memorial Events Center at 111 E. Lincoln Blvd.

Organizers will serve refreshments and provide an overview of this season’s series of five events while the Libby High School jazz band “Take Five” will entertain.

“A special treat this year is the return of our Toni Smith Christmas celebration, which will feature local artists along with additional talent from the University of Montana,” a news release states.

The Kootenai Heritage Council is a nonprofit volunteer organization that has operated the events center for many years, maintaining it as well as sponsoring a variety of entertainment not seen elsewhere in the area.

The event is free and everyone is welcome.
