Three area American Legion baseball players were named to all-state teams, and six additional players joined them on all-conference squads, Montana/Alberta American Legion Baseball announced Wednesday.

Cal Bateman of the Libby Loggers and the Glacier Twins’ Ryan Veneman represented the area on the Class A all-state team, while the Kalispell Lakers’ Pat O’Connell was the only Flathead Valley athlete named to the Class AA all-state team.

Teammates Coby Clark-Dickenson and Greyson Bistodeau joined Veneman on the Western District Class A all-conference team after leading the Twins to a 20-2 conference record.

Taylor Morton was the lone representative from the Lakers A, who made a surprising late-season run through the district tournament that ended at state.
