Looking for information on native cultures

My name is Sue Dewey and I am an English person, living in England.

I have spent many years studying Native American cultures and the history of the Plains and Northern states. Because of this, my husband and I have been frequent visitors to Montana and surrounding states.

We have not been back for a few years and I would very much like to refresh my knowledge of Native American tribal cultures, town histories and settlers, Mountain people and in particular biographies of army scouts during the wars in the 1800s (Native or non Native).
