Betty Anne Warner
On Sunday, Oct. 8, Betty Anne Warner passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family surrounding her. Betty battled cancer for the last six years of her life, showing great courage and peaceful humility that inspired others who saw her and cared for her.
Betty was born June 29, 1950 to Peter and Mary Hammer in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She grew up in Troy and graduated from Troy High School in 1968. And then a few weeks after graduation, she married the love of her life on June 8, 1968. Ed and Betty’s incredible partnership lasted over 49 years as they journeyed through life together.
Betty loved taking care of her family. She had the pleasant habit of putting everyone else first, always welcoming them and meeting their needs before her own. Betty was especially fond of the holiday season. She loved the preparation and planning and all the little things like baking cookies, wrapping gifts and decorating her home.
Betty was also a game enthusiast. She loved to play Yahtzee, Bingo and Uno often giving away her good hand by her excitement. Her passion for games was not limited to a sit down. She and Ed loved to go bowling and hit the dance floor with friends and family. And while at home, she even loved watching TV game shows.
Betty is survived by her husband Ed and their son Scott (wife Stacy and their children Kyle and Kendall), and their son Joe (wife Karen and children Harleigh and Shawn), her sisters Frances, Peggy and Rose and their families, her brother Bill (wife Karla) and his family, and her sister-in-law Lavonne and her family. She is also survived by her life-long friend Judy Woller. And finally, her faithful little companion and foot warmer, her dog Buddy.
The family would like to thank all Betty’s incredible doctors and nurses who cared for her as well as her hospice care team who was there when Ed and Betty needed them.
Donations can be made in Betty’s name to Home Options/Hospice. There will be a 10 a.m. viewing and an 11 a.m. Celebration of Life on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. A reception will immediately follow at the Moose Lodge of Kalispell.
Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the Warner family.
