Healing the land scarred by firefighting

An excavator with Spencer Logging of Libby rehabilitates land impacted by West Fork firefighting efforts along Forest Service Road 600 Friday, Sept. 29. In this operation, the excavator dug trenches into which slash was dumped and then incinerated by the machine pictured in the background to the left.
