Allyce Irene Hansen

| October 6, 2017 4:00 AM

Allyce Irene Hansen, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Troy on Sept. 29, 2017. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to wonderful parents, Elsie Irene and Chester Joseph Fifield, on May 12, 1931. Allyce was the third of five siblings.

Allyce met her husband, Paul Hansen, in Idaho Falls and he soon followed her to Troy, where they were married Jan. 25, 1949. The family settled in Spokane, Washington and after her children were older, she went back to school. She received her degree and was quickly employed by the Spokane Sheriff’s Department, where she worked for many years.

After retirement, the decision was made to move back to Troy where she served as Troy Judge. Allyce was always a very determined and accomplished lady that did not ever let anyone get in her way, and I am sure that she left this life with no regrets.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; four sons, Paul Hansen, Chris Hansen, Rick Hansen and Michael Hansen; and four brothers, Louis Fifield, Glen Fifield, Richard Fifield and Norman Fifield.

Survivors include two daughters, Bobbee Mellick and Charlotte Merrill, both of Spokane, Washington; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial and pot luck gathering will be held for friends and family at 2 p.m. Oct. 14, 2017 at the LDS Church, Troy Branch, 141 Lake Creek Rd.

Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
