'Bow Wow Bash' set for Oct. 21 in Libby

The 16th Annual Bow Wow Bash, the main fundraiser for Kootenai Pets for Life, will be held Oct. 21 at the Libby VFW Post No. 1548.

At 5:30 p.m. attendees can browse auction items and place bids on silent auction items. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction will follow.

Admission is $15 for one or $25 for two. Tickets can be purchased from Kootenai Pets for Life volunteers or by calling 406-293-6801. Please purchase tickets by Oct. 14 so the caterers can plan accordingly.

The nonprofit, all-volunteer Kootenai Pets for Life is a no-kill shelter founded in 2001 to provide a home for stray and abandoned pets of the Libby/Troy area. In addition to providing shelter, the organization assists with spay and neuter services, foster care, veterinary assistance and education.

Since its inception, Kootenai Pets for Life has adopted out over 3,400 pets and helped spay or neuter 7,700 pets and almost 700 feral cats.
