Turkey Dash results announced

The third annual Turkey Dash was held Saturday, Nov. 18. This year’s proceeds were divided between the Libby Food Pantry and Lincoln County Christmas Kids.

There were 23 runners/walkers. The oldest was 88 and the youngest was 4.

The starting line was at the Port Authority and extended for 5K (3.1 miles) around, by the fish pond, along the highway and back to the Montana Athletic Club. This year, the log obstacle course was replaced with a 1,000-foot stretch of mud.

Finisher’s times were as follows: Women — Dejon Raines 23:27, Brittany Katzer 24:03, Kim Sloan 24:15, Kori Peterson 24:51, Lynn Hagarty 31:27, Deborah Lampton 49:17, Mandi Foss 51:07, LaRona Luscher 51:08, Peggy Williams 1:02:16, Bekah France 1:09:04, Elizabeth France 1:10:40, Hannah Woodworth 1:11:09, Jo Wilson 1:18:15; Men — Nick Peterson 23:35, Cody Katzer 24:01, Mitch Woodworth 28:09, Nathan France 34:06, Bob Wilson 1:18:15; Youth (12 and under) — Ben France 40:49, Jack Lampton 49:15, Abigail France 1:08:24, Evalynn Woodworth 1:10:14 and Tiara Foulke 1:11:09.

All participants received an award ranging from socks to a framed picture to a pool party.

Next year’s Turkey Dash will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018.
