Montana Department of Transportation

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal for roadway safety improvements on Montana Highway 200 (MT-200) and Montana Highway 56 (MT-56), as described below:

-Site 1 (MT-200 north of Trout Creek from reference post [RP] 16.7 to RP 18.2): Flatten roadside slopes and improve the rotation of the roadway surface through a curve. Also, install delineation and actuated curve warning sign.

-Site 2 (MT-56 south of Troy from RP 26.3 to RP 27.0): Flatten roadside slopes and install delineation.

The purpose of the project is to enhance roadway safety for the traveling public.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2019, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding. No new right-of-way is anticipated. Utility relocations may be needed.
