All events at Lincoln County Public Libraries are free and open to the public.

The new hours at the Libby Library, beginning Jan. 2, will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

December is Adopt-a-Magazine month at the libraries in Eureka, Libby and Troy. Help support our collection by donating a year’s subscription to one of our magazines or newspapers. Our magazines are a valuable source of information, current events, and entertainment for all residents of Lincoln County. If you’d like to help your library by adopting a magazine subscription, please stop by your library for details.

Feeling the winter blues? The Libby library can help! In partnership with the Libby Friends of the Library, the Libby library presents “Light Reading” a new program to provide full spectrum light therapy lamps for public use throughout the winter. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is estimated to affect up to 10 million Americans every year, and the standard treatment is at least 30 minutes under a light therapy lamp. To enjoy the program, no diagnosis is required. Simply stop by the Libby library and enjoy a little bit of “light reading.”

The weather is changing and it might be time to “Come in from the Cold.” Every Saturday morning at the Libby library, warm up with a cup of locally roasted coffee and homemade pastries. Sit, relax, enjoy the company of others or simply read the newspaper. Coffee is provided by Camp Creek Coffee and pastries are donated by the Libby Friends of the Library.

As always, Preschool Story Time will be at the Libby library on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m., the Troy library on Fridays at 11:15 a.m. and the Eureka library on Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. Chess games will be every Saturday at the Troy library from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
