Business Association announces Dec. events

The Libby Area Business Association has announced the following schedule of downtown events for December:

Saturday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

- Set up begins at 4:30 p.m.

- Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. — Girls Scouts will do the honors

- Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will arrive by sleigh at the tree at 5:15 p.m.

- Mayor Brent Teske accompanied by Libby’s First Lady (Dee) will be honored guests. Speech at 5:20 p.m.

- Christmas Prayer 5:25 p.m. and reading of Gov. Steve Bullock’s Christmas letter to Libby.

- Santa will be available to hear children’s Christmas wishes, take photos and give a small gift.

- Mineral Avenue will be host to carolers, cookie/cocoa station and a warming station at Aunt T’s.

- Christmas characters will appear on Mineral Avenue from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

- Merchants will be open until 7 p.m. for Christmas shopping.

- First Christmas Pickle is hidden 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Movie at the Dome

Saturday, Dec 9, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

- Merchants will be open until 7 p.m. for Christmas shopping.

- Carolers will start singing at 5 p.m.

- Christmas trophies will be awarded

- First Christmas Pickle is hidden 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Movie at the Dome

Saturday, Dec 16, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

- Merchants will be open until 7 p.m. for Christmas shopping.

- Carolers will start singing at 5 p.m.

- Coloring Contest winners awarded

- Last Christmas Pickle is hidden 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Movie at the Dome
