William A. Schikora, Jr.

William A. “Billy Blaze” Schikora, Jr., 52, died May 25 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center as a result of injuries received in a vehicle accident near Libby on May 19.

Billy was born Jan. 26, 1965 in Libby to Bill Schikora, Sr. and Nancy (Daniels) Schikora. He was raised in Libby and attended local schools. He worked in various places doing construction and labor including the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington State. Billy returned to Libby where he had worked as a logger for several local timber companies for many years.

He was preceded in death by wife Ada Graham in 2015 and his mother Nancy in 1991.

Surviving him are his father and step-mother, Bill and Juanita Schikora; brother Jeff Schikora (Lori Brown) and nephew Jason Schikora; and several aunts and uncles including Pauline and Ed Nixon; Willie and and Linda Schikora; David and Nancy Schikora. He is also survived by many cousins including Randy (Amy) Nixon, Kip (Michelle) Nixon, Tammy Ivins, Deanna Benton, Chad, Donny and Mike Schikora as well as many friends.

A brief committal service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the City of Libby Cemetery and a dinner will follow at 6 p.m. at the VFW Club.
