Free summer breakfast and lunch program announced in Libby

Libby Public Schools announced this week the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program, a U.S. Department of Agriculture program that provides free meals to children when school is not in session.

The program provides breakfast and lunch for all children 18 years of age or younger. Adults can purchase breakfast for $2.30 and lunch for $4.

The locations and times of meals are:

Asa Wood Lunchroom, 700 Idaho Ave., June 12 — July 27, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday Libby Elementary School, 101 Ski Rd., June 12 — June 22, 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and noon to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday

Libby Christian Church VBS, 100 Kootenai River Rd., June 12 — June 17, 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and noon to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday

McGrade Center Gym, 933 Farm to Market Rd., June 26 — July 27, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. (lunch only), Monday through Thursday

Christ Lutheran Church VBS, 200 West Larch St., July 24 — July 27, 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and noon to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
