Thank you for supporting rod and gun club

| May 29, 2017 12:08 PM

The members of the Bull Lake Rod and Gun club would like to extend a big thank you to the Libby Scatterguns Club who held a fundraiser shoot on May 6 to help with the cost of rebuilding our club building that was destroyed by snow this past winter. They donated $600 to the Bull Lake Club and have been a big support in the past with our trap shoots.

We would also like to thank Cabinet Mountain Brewery for their Brews for Benefits fundraising night in April where they donated over $200 of their proceeds that night. The fundraiser was a great event made even more special by the music of local musician Jeff Wedel who donated his time to entertain the crowd and his tips. If you get a chance to see Jeff play I would encourage you to go watch his down home show.

We also have donations from members in the county with Randy Kelso donating $100 and the Thompson Falls Trap Club donating $500. One of the Thompson Falls Club members Digger Powell and his wife Melody also donated $100 of their own money.

We have had folks from our local communities come and help with the cleanup and would like to recognize Mike Lee who brought out his dump truck and excavator to help with the cleanup, along with Mike Fennessy and Steve “Gomez” Tralles who took time out to come help with the teardown and cleanup of the building.

I know we may have missed the numerous folks who have helped behind the scenes and want to extend a thank you to them too. We are lucky to live in an area with such caring folks who are willing to help out an organization in need.

I hope that everyone will come join us at the Bull Lake Rod and Gun Club on June 4 for our annual spring shoot. The shoot will start at 10 a.m. with the kitchen open for breakfast and lunch. Our bingo that day will be held at the Halfway House just down the road from noon to 4 p.m., the owners of the Halfway House have graciously agreed to let us hold it there are we are thankful for their help and support.
