Heidrun “Heidi” Drake

Heidrun “Heidi” Drake, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Libby Care Center. She was born April 13, 1944 in Czechoslovakia to Fritz and Maria Linke, the younger of two daughters. Her family moved to Germany when Heidi was young. She resided there until she met and fell in love with a handsome American soldier named Fred Drake. Heidi flew to the United States where she and Fred were married on Nov. 11, 1963 in Libby.

Heidi lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed painting, gardening, camping, photography and enjoying the company of her family and friends. She met and charmed countless people during her long employment at the Libby Liquor Store.

She leaves behind her husband Fred Drake, Libby; daughter Connie (Aaron) Brossman of Columbia Falls.; son Chad (Chelsea) Drake of Auburn, Wash.; one grandson Mason of Auburn, Wash.; four granddaughters Morgan and Carly of Auburn, Wash.; Monica Brossman and Brianne Cannon both of Columbia Falls, Mont.; four great-grandchildren, Alli, Anthony, Becca, and Daniel; and her sister Erika Hofmann of Wallrabenstein, Germany.
