Ruth Marie Magee

Ruth Marie Magee, 90, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Pennsylvania, March 10, 2017. She was formerly of Libby, Mont. and Crestview, Fla.

She was born Aug. 21, 1926 in Bassett, Neb. to Sarah Ethel and Louis Frank Burgett, the 7 of 12 children. Beloved wife of the late Wendell Magee; mother of Josie Skow (Wayne); grandmother of Joshua (Christi) and Zachary Skow; great-grandmother of Caleb, Hannah and Abigail Skow; sister of Jim Burgett; also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Magee was a lifelong elementary teacher and taught many years in Libby before retiring in 1981. She had a BS degree from Western Montana College and a Masters degree from University of Montana.

She and her husband were longtime active members of the Libby Snowmobile Club. There will be a memorial service for her July 23, 2017, 10:30 am at The Libby Cemetery, Libby, MT 59923., followed by lunch at the Venture Inn. View and sign the family guestbook at www.musmannofh.com.
