Rosalie Racheal Wenholz

Rosalie Racheal Wenholz (Ecklund) passed away peacefully in her home with her husband by her side on Jan. 25 in Libby, Montana. She was born Feb. 10, 1939 in Kenmare, North Dakota to Roy and Veronica Ecklund. At the age of 3 she traveled with her family by train out west to Kitsap County making a home in Port Orchard, Washington.

Rosalie married Melvin (Lou) Boykin May 1954. They had 7 children. Lou passed in January 1972. Rosalie married Floyd Simmonsen of Libby November of 1972. She and her children moved to Libby, Mt. Floyd Passed away in 1982.

Rosalie then met Robert Wenholz of Libby, Montana and they were married on April 20, 1985.

She loved to play softball. She belonged to pool and bowling leagues and a women’s softball team in Libby. She made beautiful quilts, afghans and doilies. She was a wonderful seamstress cook and baker. She loved spending time with her large family. She had the most infectious laugh and smile you will always remember!

She touched a lot of lives and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Delores.

She is survived by her husband Robert Wenholz of Libby MT; 2 daughters Loretta Boykin and Jeannette Harris; 4 sons Kenneth Boykin, Mark Boykin, Michael Boykin and William Boykin; a brother Jack Ecklund; 2 sisters Vicki Fine and Boni Bennett; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
