Woman facing drug charges

On Feb. 23 Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a woman allegedly reporting to numerous people that there was a hostage situation at her residence — which turned out to be nothing.

According to the affidavit of probable cause written by Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Dodson, while Kalli Anita Ryals allegedly told people of a hostage situation, Dodson and deputy John Davis soon determined there wasn’t.

After determining there wasn’t a hostage situation, Ryals told Dodson that she had used methamphetamine the day before and had been awake for 36 hours.

Later, a small baggy of a white substance was found in Ryals’ sock. The substance later tested positive as methamphetamine.

Ryals is being held on $10,000 bond, and faces a fine up to $50,000 and a maximum five years imprisonment.
