Help VFW Post No. 1548 supply local students
The Western News
Help local students get a great start for their new school year by joining with VFW Post No. 1548 to support the “student stand down,” when students from Libby and Troy can pick out free school supplies 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21.
To be successful, the event requires financial contributions from local businesses as well as private donations. People can buy supplies and arrange for pick-up or drop-off, while financial contributions can help purchase depleted items. Organizers say the aim is to fill the VFW tables with needed supplies including paper, pencils, notebooks, backpacks and the always-needed scientific calculators.
