On Saturday, June 24, Logger Days will hold its annual 5K and 10K fun runs to raise money for future Logger Days events.

The cost for preregistration until June 21 is $18 and includes a T-shirt; for participants age 14 and under, the cost is $13.

After June 21, registration will be $18 and will not include a T-shirt.

Participants can register at the Montana Athletic Club at 952 E Spruce St. in Libby or by visiting loggerdays.org.

Line up is 7:30 a.m and the race will begin at 8 a.m at the Central school administration building at 724 Louisiana Avenue and end on Mineral Avenue on the rear side of the administrative building.

Organizer Kayla Friss said these races have been held for about a decade.

“We usually have around 80 runners, although about 50 percent of those who do the 5K walk it,” she said. “We encourage everyone to participate no matter what level they are at.”

The event is over in time for the 10 a.m. start of the Logger Days parade.
