Where is the outrage now?
For the past eight years the country has been filled with the worst vitriol and hatred I have ever read. The president was called a Muslim who hates America, his wife and children referred to as monkeys, the first lady a transsexual and you listened and believed a self-promoting fool when he said he had proof the president wasn’t born here. Proof he never offered. I watched Republicans block every move President Obama made, good or bad, just because they could. You were fine when the Republicans shut down the government, until you realized it would hold up your government checks. Fine when millions of dollars were spent on never ending witch hunts and complained bitterly about the cost of vacations.
Where is the outrage now? Millions being spent on weekends at a private resort. Spending millions to have Secret Service stay at that resort. Money going to Trump Inc. Millions spent on two planes, two White Houses, actually three, counting Trump Tower in NYC. How about the millions paying for his two grown sons to have Secret Service officers travel to foreign countries to watch them open Trump hotels and resorts.
Where is the outrage over executive actions? The second one he signed canceled a lower interest rate on FHA loans. The rate would have saved the average lender around $500 a year. Not much to our new president but a small fortune to a working class family.
Where is the outrage as a law requiring investment professionals to safeguard the investments of their clients’ money above their own interest in profit is repealed?
Where is the outrage when he fills Cabinet positions with Wall Street billionaires and multimillionaires who have no experience in the departments they will lead, except to have lawsuits against them? Even nominating those who have called for the very destruction of the departments they will lead.
Where is the outrage when he calls the American intel communities “Nazis”? Pressures the FBI to dispute the notion that the Trump campaign may have had help from the Russians in the election? Does not tell his vice president that he was lied to for two weeks and lets that man go public with the wrong information? Calls the press the enemy of the people, attacks the judicial branch and seems never to have actually read the Constitution?
Where is the outrage when a five-time deferment draft dodger from the Vietnam War belittles Gold Star families, skips intel briefings and then launches a mission over dinner that killed a Navy Seal, wounded three more, killed 14 civilians including an 8-year-old American girl, lost a multimillion dollar aircraft and had the target escape?
Where is the outrage over policies? Allowing guns to be sold to the mentally ill. Allowing mining companies to dump toxic waste in streams. Allowing oil companies to pay monies to foreign countries for favors and not report that money to the government. Chipping away at Dodd-Frank because he “has many friends” who can’t get a loan under the law.
Where is the outrage? The silence is deafening.
