Larry G. Raan

Larry G. Raan, 60, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at this home in Troy. He was born on September 23, 1956 at Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Martin and Rita Raan.

Larry spent most of his life in Troy and Libby other than brief stints in eastern Montana, Colorado and Alaska. He worked as a logger, miner and a mill worker for many years but stopped to care for his parents as their health failed. They were able to stay home until their passing because of Larry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-laws Roy McMillan, Frank Shockly and Richard Allenberg.

Survivors include his siblings Barbara McMillan of Troy; Mary Shockly of Spokane, Washington; Randy Raan and Rose Lockman, both of Troy; James Raan of Kalispell; Dean Raan of Mesa, Arizona; Don Raan of Petaluma, California; and many nieces and nephews.

Private family services are being held. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
