Legal Notice Notice of Application for an Amendment to the Troy Mine Operating Permit Troy Mine Inc. has submitted an application to amend Operating Permit No. 00093 to the Department of Environmental Quality. The proposed amendment would adjust the reclamation requirements for the tailings storage facility of the Troy Mine. The current reclamation plan requires placement of 18 inches of soil on the tailings storage facility. The proposed amendment would reduce the required soil cap to 8 inches. The tailings storage facility is located on private land in Section 6, Township 29 North, Range 33 West, and in Sections 31 and 32, Township 30 North, Range 33 West, approximately 12 miles south of Troy, MT in Lincoln County.
