Are you one of the many local women looking for a place to buy brand-named clothes, but the thought of driving 90 miles to shop seems out-of-reach? Then look no further.

Two sisters, Summer and Amber Hargrove, have announced the opening of their new Libby store, Rustic Chic, that will feature brand-name items.

“We’re super excited about it,” Amber said. “Not only can we bring reasonable-prices to the table, but everything we have here is for a country chick.”

The store will host a soft-open on Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.

“Brand-name” may seem uninviting to some, but the sisters promise that these clothes don’t come with the price tag.

In fact, the store, located off U.S. Highway 2, will be stocked with lightly-used MissMe™ jeans, Victoria’s Secret ™ items and other big-name clothes, toiletries, jewelry and odds and ends for about half the price.

As customers walk into the boutique, they will be greeted with a contemporary cowgirl design of farmhouse-style distressed wood, painted a bright teal with handmade shelves. Amber and Summer said they will then work with customers personally and offer any free fashion advice upon request.

Amber recently returned to Libby, her home for seven months, from the television show “Naked and Afraid.”

After her return, she realized she no longer fit into her clothes, and had to go shopping. Amber and Summer found they had to drive to Kalispell to shop. That’s when they started thinking about all the women in Libby who had to make the same journey just to buy their favorite clothes.

At the time, Amber said to Summer, “why don’t we sell jeans?” and that’s when the idea started snowballing.

Since then, Summer and Amber said that they’ve had numerous inquiries as word got out.

Pretty soon, they started branching into trademarking their own clothing line, Rustic Owl, complete with a cartoon-owl logo. The logo will be featured on their clothes.

Dolly Miller, who knows Amber from work, will also be contributing to the store with her own handmade jewelry.

“We want to reach out to everyone, not just teenagers but also hot moms,” Miller said.

While the brands they will sell have the reputation for being flashy, the store will also be offering unadorned, simpler jeans for women with different preferences.

As Valentine’s Day is coming up, the shop is also going to be offering limited-supply Victoria’s Secret ™ gift bags, complete with a choice of a Rustic Chic gift card, a clothing item, lotions, boot huggers and perfume.

“It’s really hard to find something for a girl, most people just go for flowers,” Amber said. “This way, guys can get their women something unique.

They also said that, if they sell 15 T-shirts they have for sale right now on booster.com, they will jump in Libby Creek as part of the Polar Bear Challenge — a challenge that Summer noted she wasn’t “exactly thrilled about.”

When the store is closed, patrons can still make purchases on their website, Rusticchic.me, which will go live on Feb. 1.

They plan on being open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
