Libby woman arrested after allegedly driving intoxicated with her two children
A Libby woman was recently arrested after allegedly driving intoxicated with her two children.
Sabrina Ann Dinsmoor is being held on two counts of criminal child endangerment and one count of driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, written by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Holzer, on Jan. 20, the Lincoln County Dispatch received a call from a local motel reported that a female in a car was leaving intoxicated with her two children.
Holzer then observed the vehicle matching the description at a local gas station.
Holzer wrote in the affidavit that he then pulled in behind the car and made contact with Dinsmoor. At the time, Dinsmoor was on the phone with the father of her children saying she was going to jail, the affidavit said.
Holzer said he observed two infants in the back seat in car seats. The two children allegedly belonged to Dinsmoor. Holzer claimed that he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage allegedly emitting from Dinsmoor.
Dinsmoor then allegedly failed a Field Sobriety Test, and allegedly admitted to being intoxicated and quit the test.
If convicted, she could face fines up to $52,000 and imprisonment of up to 10 years and six months.
Dinsmoor is currently being held on $2,500 bail and her next hearing is scheduled for Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m.
