The Libby Greenchain took a hit on Friday when they hosted Eureka. Despite losing more than winning, coach Kelly Morford said his team competed well.

“Regardless of the number of wins and losses, I thought we really competed well,” Morford said. “Eureka is a really good team that hustles and makes you earn everything you get. We didn’t really compete well against them last time but we responded well on Friday. There were some matches that we lost but closed the gap on and I was happy to see that.”

As far as the rest of the season goes, Morford is very hopeful.

“We need to keep working hard and finish the regular season off strong we are in a good position going into Divisionals,” Morford said. “I like the direction we are headed. We just need to fine tune some things that will help us be more successful in those close matches.”

Buddy Doolin, Mason Sams, Reed Christensen, Tanner Wood all defeated their opponents, with Dylan Yeadon, Trey Thompson, Laine Young, Tim Carvey, Cyrus Sweedman and Clancy Glout suffering defeats.
